If only our passion for the mission was enough!

Our doors would not be open today if it were not for the phenomenal support of others who believe in our mission and who see the gap we are filling both in our community and the lives of our youth as a vital step in stopping the cycle of homelessness. We have regular volunteer opportunities every Monday and Tuesday afternoon at our food pantry in addition to other scheduled volunteer activities. For the past 16 years, our volunteers have been the heartbeat of our mission’s work. They are the innovators, the problem solvers, the warm greeters, and quite often the connections to a community beyond Lorain helping us expand our family!

We Care We Share offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your availability and interests. Please see our current opportunities listed.

Food + Clothing Pantry

Mondays: Sort intake clothing, unload food truck 1:30-3:00 pm or as scheduled

Tuesdays: Distribution Team help, 1-5pm

  • Interior house reset 1x a week

  • Room flipper for resident changes

We are proud to partner with organizations such as 100 Women Who Care – Lorain County, Chicks Against Hunger, Girls Give Back, Lorain Community Foundation, and Community West Foundation to support our My House program and food pantry.

How It Helps

Your gift of support helps keep the lights on, the shelves full, and maintain My House as a haven for those who just need to know they matter to someone.

Your donations help maintain an infrastructure that is safe while also allowing us to provide services in-house to help further the education of our residents. We are run by an all volunteer staff and a working Board of Directors who are passionate about helping the community.
